Ok, serious question time.

When will the human species realise that global warming, ozone depletion, pollution, destruction of habitat are NOT our biggest problems?

Our biggest problem is that we are like bacteria growing in a petri dish. We are expanding our poulation exponentially. Are we any cleverer than the microbes or will we keep reproducing until we poison our own environment and deplete the available food resources?

Sadly my guess is, individually we can be very smart, collectively we're dumb as a rock.

Your definitely on to something. The magic number floating around for humans to live in balance with the earth is supposedly 500 million.

So what's the solution if we are the biggest problem? Population control, selective breeding, disease, steralization?

Population control would never work in a democracy. We'll never control our own population. As far as I know, every species increases it's population until resources run out. I don't think we are any different.
.. and I got your Hitler references...

We need to do something though, before we get to a critical overpopulation and things get really nasty!

Funny I didn't realize I had dropped a Hitler reference. Just echoing what the majority of articles and videos about the Illuminati population control conspiracy, are saying.  Grin

I agree that population control is not possible in a democracy. But you could quietly add in a lot of disease and toxicity into the water, food and environment that could slow things down...

That Nadia Suleman retard baby machine is a case in point.

As drugs get an increasing hold on humanity the average human life span will diminish.
Perhaps we could have a variation on the deportation to Australia of convicts where the bad are sent to the moon and the good to another more pleasant planet. Also financial restrictions on medical usage of fertilisation drugs diverting the fertilisation  money onto serious illnesses would help to diminish the problem.
Countries suffering from famine and disease should be encouraged and educated in the use of contraception.
This should be a WHO target to ensure all countries had contraceptives available
This would take the burden off of treating untold millions of people and enable the money to be focussed on the necessities of life.
I agree there is already too many people on this planet and too many anti-social people which makes the planet seem even more overcrowded.
