If the technology ever existed whereby you could upload your 'mind' onto a computer, would you do it if it meant your physical brain was destroyed in the process?

For me it depends on what the advantage would be. I upload my mind onto the computer, but what happens to my body when my physical brain is gone? I assume that I'd be dead, as my brain controls my body's ability to breathe, circulate blood, etc. Hmm, if my body was ravaged with a terminal disease, I could consider it. And...if there was a possibility that my online brain could be downloaded into a body that's technically brain dead, I could physically be walking the earth again.
