Just wondering if there is any info out there that anyone knows regarding a de-evolution theory that might explain the existence of Big Foot, and other similar cryptids.

My thinking is along these lines... What if humans dropped out of society and became mountain men... But perhaps over a few generations these mountain folk literally de-evolved into more of an ape like creature. Perhaps cutting off from society and embracing the wild could trigger some sort of change in energy fields and DNA programming... A little crazy but worth considering.

Thoughts?

All ideas may seem crazy before they are 'proven'. An interesting idea for sure. I haven't heard anything about this theory, but I'll definitely keep on the lookout for it.

De-evolution? What exactly would that be? Survival of the least fit?

It seems a little presumptious to be discussing possible origins of bigfoot when there is no scientific evidence for the creature, hence the crypto in cryptozoology. There is considerable research being conducted into the Neanderthal genome if you really want to sink your teeth into some real science.
