Was Atlantis and/or Lemuria real?

Were the mythological and scientifically advanced cities of Atlantis and Lemuria real places from our actual history, just lost over time?

It seems like there is a lot of scientific evidence that supports a few locations which appear to be underwater ruins and likely locations for the lost cities.

Atlantis may have once been a real place, but I think it also could be our world in the present. Earth, Atlas. Perhaps people from ancient times saw our current world in a premonition and dubbed it Atlantis. Of course if that is the case, then we should have a good idea what may be coming...

Oddball links area to lost city

Google Ocean: Has Atlantis been found off Africa?

A "grid of streets" on the seabed at one of the proposed locations of the lost city of Atlantis has been spotted on Google Ocean.
